I have been designing and editing web-sites since 1997, and every site I build or inherit gets set up with very efficient navigation and clear navigable direction for the user. I have found in my internet travels that nothing turns off a visitor more than their inability to get around a site. To that end, I focus on making it as easy as possible for internet veterans or newbies to get around clearly and easily.

Because I tend to market my work towards simple designs rather than full-blown, Flash-based bells-and-whistles type sites, my fees are extremely competitive - and most importantly, I make requested edits often within hours (sometimes minutes) of my client's request. I am always available during normal working hours, and because I receive text and email on my cellphone I get update requests at all hours of the day. I do not charge by the hour but by the job, and I have found that my clients truly appreciate not being nickel-and-dimed to death. I typically take between 2-3 weeks to complete the initial build of a site, with constant input from the client if necessary. I don't scare easily....:)

Some of the sites I have built over the years have closed down due to their businesses closing, but some of the more stalwart ones are still running, and these are some of examples of them. To date, my webdesign work has gone in to the creation or editing of over 50 websites, ranging from personal business sites to organization and charity-driven sites to e-commerce.  Please contact me for your questions or comments - or to receive a quote.

Steve Singer is a New York-based portrait photographer I have known for over 40 years. His work doing headshots as well as atmospheric landscape photography has garnered praise from publications and individuals for years.

Steve asked me to put together a site that would allow visitors to book shooting engagements, view his galleries of photos taken around the worldwide as well as purchase photos directly from his website by contacting him directly. His site also allows booking or talent agents to view online photos of some of Steve's clients.

He has been very happy with the results, and the site has been live since 2000. It took me approximately 3 weeks to finish the uploading of info to his site, and we currently update his site on an as-needed basis.

The SanBuenaventura Conservancy, a grass-roots historic preservation association, approached me about creating a website that would enable their site visitors a wide range of choices including signing up for membership and paying for tickets to events, to viewing galleries of historic architectural photography and data, compiled from a number of sources.

They also wanted me to add a number of user-assistance pages, such as an industry-standard links page (which we get regular kudos for), an updated press page and pages for those seeking help with their historic property on how to repair, get tax credits for and otherwise ride herd on their own properties.

The site build took an initial period of 3 weeks, though constant updating since its inception in 2003 have totaled up 100s of hours. We have a fantastic and long-standing relationship.

click to go to Dave Bargeron's site

Dave Bargeron was the original trombonist for Blood, Sweat and Tears and through a referral from another website I built, I was approached to put together a comprehensive site containing links to on-line purchases for Dave's albums. I was asked to also put links to some of Dave's other items he markets, such as his amazing fishing flies (seriously, this alone is worth the site visit) and his BRAVO handmade trombone mouthpiece.

The site took me approximately 3 weeks initially with a refresh approximately one year after launch in 2006. I have a long-standing relationship with The Bargeron's, and I update their site on an as-needed basis.

The Ventura Social Services Task Force is a community/civic organization, created to help service those in desperate need of housing and assistance in the City of Ventura. The initial site build took me approximately 3 weeks to compile, and this was a case of revamping an existing site to a modern, more-streamlined version. Links to all documents dating back to 2006 are available with one button click, and those in need of immediate housing can get information very quickly and effectively.

I have a standing update plan for this site which is done on a weekly basis. All available graphics and data are uploaded so the site is always up to date.

click to go to Ventura Music Week's site

I have created a number of small but very effective sites for the City of Ventura's Cultural Affairs Department over the years, most noticeably the Ventura Music and Ventura Restaurant Week websites.

These are annual events for which I have created a very easily navigable site, allowing our site visitors to see the participants (both in terms of venue and performer) as well as general information about each event, and depending on the task list, sometimes the menu as well as links to the restaurants/venues and performers online presence, be it a website or a MySpace-Facebook or Reverbnation link.

I have a standing commitment to updating either site when in production, and like all of my webwork usually answer the request within hours, sometimes minutes.
